QueerTech launches OutPitch, a new pitch competition dedicated to 2SLGBTQI+ founders
Applications are now open to pitch at QT Qonference 2026, Canada's largest 2SLGBTQI+ tech conference.
Montreal, QC - September 2026 | Today, QueerTech launched applications for OutPitch, QueerTech’s new founder and investor experience, connecting investment-ready 2SLGBTQI+ founders with funders, executives and potential customers!
Taking place at QT Qonference 2026, happening in Toronto, November 18-19, this inaugural founder experience was designed to open more doors and create more opportunities for 2SLGBTQI+ founders to connect with capital, customers and support.

More than a pitch competition, OutPitch is a two-day experience that connects 2SLGBTQI+ founders with investors, potential customers, and relationships that can help move their companies forward.
To participate in OutPitch, companies must be technology- or tech-enabled, incorporated, and beyond the idea stage, with at least one 2SLGBTQI+ co-founder actively involved in leadership and available to participate in person in Toronto on November 18-19.
Eligible companies can apply through the OutPitch application form before the September 21 deadline. Applicants will also need a QTQ Founder Ticket to complete their application. Scholarships for tickets and travel support are available for eligible founders if cost is a barrier!
Applications are reviewed in collaboration with Ecosystem Partner Spring, who will assess eligible companies and recommend candidates. Ten companies will be chosen to participate. Of those 10 companies, 3 will advance to the OutPitch Final on November 19.
